Sulphur Springs High School Choir Director Aaron Lovelady will be taking his twenty-four member varsity mixed choir to UIL Concert and Site Readying Competition Wednesday in Canton.
Lovelady says the choir will perform three prepared songs for judges to grade and then will head into a site reading room where they will be given a piece of music they more than likely have never seen before. Lovelady says he’ll have seven minutes to teach the choir the song without them being able to sing. Then they will sing the piece for judges.
The choir is hoping for a superior rating.
