The Wildcats Band earned a Sweepstakes Award with first division scores in concert and site reading at UIL competition in Mt. Pleasant Thursday. The band also got the highest marks during the marching season. Concerning Thursday’s performance,
Band Director Charles McCauley said everything just clicked and the band had a terrific performance. McCauley was especially impressed since he noted that 40 to 50% of band members are new to the varsity band this year including 13 freshmen.
