A Celebration of Life Service for Jimmy Clifton have been set for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Spence Chapel at First Baptist Church with Brother Fred Lewis officiating. Following the service a reception and family visitation will be held in the fellowship hall at First Baptist Church.
Jimmy Clifton was born November 11, 1942 the son of Lewis Austin and Nell (McClendon) Clifton in Sulphur Springs, TX. He married Carolyn Griggs on May 1,1970 in Sulphur Springs, TX. She survives.
He worked in auto sales and management.
Mr. Clifton passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Rock Creek Nursing home in Sulphur Springs.
Survivors include, son, Craig Clifton, and wife, Amy of Double Oak; daughters, Carmen Crouse, and husband, Tony of Sulphur Springs, Tammy Powdrill , and husband, Bubba of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Brady, Austin, and DaKota Crouse, Tyler, Jaxon, and Chappel Clifton, Haylee Pogue, Kelsey and Todd Williams, and Logan Pogue; Great-grandchild, Stratton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Jerry Mae and Joe Dan Clifton.
