Graveside services for Ronnie Wayne Davis, age 71, of Yantis will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Yantis Cemetery with Rev. Byron George officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 Tuesday, February 226, 2013 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be his cousins.
Ronnie passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at his residence. Ronnie was born on October 28, 1941 in Sulphur Springs the son of Troy Waymon and Jewel Laverne (McAfee) Davis.
Ronnie worked as a despatcher for the Wood County Sheriff’s department at one time and also for Rockwell International before he retired.
Ronnie is survived by one brother, Joe Davis of Pearland, TX and two nephews, Blake Davis and Byron Davis both of Huntsville, TX, and several Aunts and Uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to Yantis Cemetery Association, P. O. Box 344, Yantis, TX 75497.
Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
