Graveside services for Bobby Parker, age 75, of Sulphur Springs, have been scheduled for 3:00pm Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Ridgeway Cemetery with Bro. B. J. Teer officiating. Pallbearers include Mike Parker, Richard Lee, Logan Thurman, Robert Stout, Seth Stout, and Tyler Stout. Junior Gregg will serve as honorary pallbearer. A visitation will be held at Tapp Funeral Home from 1:30 to 2:30 prior to the service.
Bobby Gerald Parker was born January 28, 1937, in Oakland, the son of Freeman and Carrie Ferrell Parker.
He worked for the highway department.
He passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at Sunny Springs Nursing Home.
Survivors include, nieces, Didi Thurman, and husband, Logan, Tina Stout, and husband, Robert, Shirl Lee, and husband, Richard; nephew, Mike Parker, and wife, Alice; sister-in-law, Sandra Parker. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Parker and Benny Parker; and nephew, Danny Parker.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wesley Methodist Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Tapp Funeral Home.
