
Jackie Diane Rhodes age 65, of Ft. Worth, formerly of Emory, died, Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Ft. Worth. Service is scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday, November 29, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Mission. Officiating will be Father Mike Synder. Visitation is set for 6:00 pm and Rosary at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home. Interment will be at Dougherty Cemetery.
She was born in Mineral Wells on March 7, 1949 to Jack and Geneva Inez Hopson Taylor. She married Mike Rhodes in Sulphur Springs on July 12, 1975.
Jackie retired from Rains ISD in June 2012. She taught first grade at Rains ISD for 40 years. Jackie was a wonderful teacher and loved teaching. She touched and influenced so many young lives throughout her career. She also loved working with her fellow teachers. All said and done she loved Rains Independent School District. Jackie was blessed by being able to go to work every day with her husband Mike, who also worked and retired from Rains ISD. She loved and cherished her children so much. They were the love of her life. She will be greatly missed, but will always be remembered by her family and friends.
