Funeral service for Robert Stephenson Hines, Jr, of Emory, will be held at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home, at 2:00 pm, Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012. Bro. Wayne Wolfe and Bro. Joe Pierce will officiate. Interment will follow service in Clifton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Wednesday, November 7 at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mr. Hines died Sunday evening, Nov. 4, 2012, at his residence. He was born December 23, 1941, in Sulphur Springs, to Robert Stephenson and Freda Lee Blanton Hines. He married Flora Etta Plunk in Garland, September. 3, 1960.
Mr. Spinks was a machinest for many years. He was a member of Daughtery Baptist Church. He was associated with the North Rifle Association and a lifetime member of the North American Club.
Survivors include: Wife: Flora "Flo" Hines of Emory Sons: Stephen Hines and wife Marion of Dallas Michael Wayne Hines and wife Karen of Rockwall Daughter: Patti Jean Hines Harwood and husband Jimmy of Marshall, NC Brother: John Edward "Sonny" Hines and wife Mildred of Emory Sisters: Barbra Jaggers and husband Kenneth of Emory Sue Strebeck and husband Bobby of Arlington Grandchildren: Mathew Hines, Morgan Hines, Ashley Harwood, Justin Harwood, and Elaina Harwood His faithful companion and shadow "LUCKY DOG"
Mr. Hines was preceded in death by: Parents, 1 infant brother, and 1 infant gandson, James Harwood
In lieu of flowers, dontations should be made to Della Blanton Memorial Hall in Memory of Jr. Hines % of Elm Baptist Church in Robert's memory.
