
A funeral service for T. J. Miller, age 78 of Dike will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Charles Rawlinson and Rev. Rodney Christ officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Sterling Cemetery, with Larry Hughes, Jimmy Hughes, Chief Starr, Kenneth Starr, Jr., Chester DeBord and Jerry Dodd serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Emerline, Billy Daniels, Wendell Christ, Buddy Gore, Billy Jack Horton and Bill Tuck. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
T. J. Miller passed away Monday afternoon, October 1, 2012, at Trinity Mother Francis Hospital in Tyler. He was born on July 3, 1934 in Hopkins County, the son of Roy Miller and Gladys Irene (McCain) Miller. He married Frankie Marie Gann on April 4, 1964 in Sulphur Springs; she survives.
He was retired from Rockwell International. He was a member of North Liberty Baptist Church which was founded by his ancestors in 1875, where he served as a deacon. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Other survivors include: brother, Travis Earl Miller of Sulphur Springs and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by brother, Durwood Miller.
