A graveside service for Grace Flowers, age 72, of Dike, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Conner Cemetery, with Rev. Floyd Flowers officiating. Ms. Flowers’ grandsons will be serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8: 00 p.m., Friday, September 14, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Grace Flowers passed away at Sulphur Springs Health & Rehab. Wednesday afternoon, September 12, 2012. She was born October 3, 1939 in Hopkins County, the daughter of Seawrite Clyde Stevenson and Gertrude (Collins) Stevenson. She married Richard Flowers; he survives.

She was a homemaker and she was of the Methodist faith.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Cheri Sartain and husband, Kevin, of Dallas, Pam McIntire and husband, Joe, of Sulphur Springs; four sons, Ricky James and wife Patty, Randall James, all of Dike, Richard James and wife, Jana, of Wylie and Jason Flowers and wife, Vania, of Sulphur Bluff; two sisters, Lana Ruth Scott and husband, Gerald, of Terrell and Mary Coomer of Nevada; brother, Buck Stevenson of Colorado; grandchildren, Wendy Scott, James Prather, Tracy Tubb, Leslie Tubb, Jordan Tubb, Melissa Stevens, Maggie Wells, Baden Shackleford, Rachael James, Ryan James, Reed James, Dylan Flowers and Trista Flowers and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters, Brenda Prather and Tricia McCoy.

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
