Funeral services for Charlyne Peoples Evege, age 76, of Los Angeles, California formerly of Sulphur Springs, Tx. are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Mitchell Chapel Church Of God In Christ with Supt. Nelson Gatlin eulogist and Rev. Harold. B. Nash officiating. Burial will follow at St. Luke Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. There will be no formal visitation. Viewing will be held at Mason & Mason Mortuary 9am to 6pm Friday, August 31.

Mrs. Evege passed away on Sunday, August 19, at her residence in Los Angles, California. She was born on October 21, 1935 of the parentage of Charlie and Flora Clayton Peoples. She married Raymond Evege June 27, 1959. Mrs. Evege was a graduate of Douglas High School in 1954 and received her B.S. Degree at Bryan and Stratton University. A member of Mt. Olive Church of God In Christ of Los Angles, California . She worked at Hollywood Clothes and retied from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department after 30 years of service

Survivors include her sister, Florene Peoples Howard of Sulphur Springs, Tx., two brother-in-laws Robert E. Evege ( Alforna) and Thomas L. Evege of Buffalo, NY.; one sister-in-law Ruthann Grey ( Daine) of Flemington, NJ.; Four nieces, Sheila Howard Brown (Walter) of Missouri City, Tx., Cherri Howard Gaines of Houston, Tx., Tirzah Thompson (Troy) of Buffalo, NY and Nichole Miller (Joseph) of Chantilly, VA; one nephew Thomas Evege II of Pensacola, Fl.; five great nieces, two great nephews, one great-great niece

Mrs. Evege was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Flora Peoples and her husband Raymond Evege.
