PhillipsphotoA graveside service for Frances Phillips, age 81 of Whitney, formerly of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at Pleasant Grove Cemetery at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 22, 2012, with Rev. Charles Rawlinson officiating with family members and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 12:30 p. m. to 2:30 p.m., Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Frances Phillips passed away Thursday evening, July 19, 2012 at Park Plaza Nursing Home in Whitney. She was born in Morris County on October 31, 1930, the daughter of William Hurdman Craig and Dovie Lee (Kennedy) Craig. She married T. C. Philips in Rains County on September 27, 1972. He preceded her in death in 2003.

She was a homemaker and a member of Heaven or Hell Outreach Ministries in Hillsboro. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.

Survivors include: two daughters, Kathryn Swindell and husband Cyril M., of Sulphur Springs and Becky Ann Mitchell and husband, John A., of Whitney. Sister, Iris Lynn Russell of Ft. Worth; brother, Morris Craig of Naples; five grandchildren, Amy Lynn Riney and husband, Tracy, John E. Mitchell and wife, Lyndsey, Cevin Mitchell, Jennifer Nicole Skeen and Melanie Dawn Skeen; great-grandchildren, Chance Riney, Gus Mitchell, Damien Skeen, Logan Ray Gannt, Mykala Ravyn Maddox, Tommy Lee Coats, William Michael Lee Maddox, Christopher Leland Coats and Kathryn Louise Coats.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, great-grandchild, Wade Gordon Riney; brother, Wilburn Lee Dotson and sister, Charlene Craig.

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
