
Funeral services for Mildred Midgett, age 102, of Ft. Worth, TX, formerly of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at West Oaks Funeral Home with Rev. Pete Adrian officiating. Interment will follow at Sulphur Springs City Cemetery with Charles David Sewell, Lynn Dale Sewell, Joe Wheeler, Harve Chapman, Denny Smalley, and Bill Sewell serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Marshall Cates, Bob Morrison and William Midgett. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., prior to service time.
Mrs. Midgett passed away Monday, July 16, 2012 at Plaza Medical Center in Ft. Worth. Mrs. Midgett was born on July 19, 1909 in Hopkins County the daughter of Elbert A. and Martha Elizabeth (Dossett) Sewell. She married Elvis Midgett and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Midgett was a homemaker who was an avid gardener, an excellent seamstress, wonderful cook and loved talking with people. She was a member of University Christian Church of Ft. Worth.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Howell of Ft. Worth and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Miller D. Sewell and Dale Sewell, sisters, Grace Cates, Vera Midgett, Vara Taylor and Bernese Perkins.
