Irma-SpinksIrma Edwina Spinks, age 83, of Emory, died May 31, 2012, in Tyler, at the Hospice of East Texas. Funeral service will be held at Elm Baptist Church on Sunday at 2:30 pm. Interment will follow in the Arbala Cemetery. Bro. Paul Noble and Bro. Johnny Wheat will officiate. Visitation will be on Saturday, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm, at the Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home chapel.

Irma was born February 12, 1929, in the Pleasant Grove community, to James Edward and Carrie Delilah Jones Luckett. She married Robert Nelson Spinks, in Rains County, on Nov. 27, 1947.

She was a homemaker and was a distributor for Shaklee products for some years. Irma was a member of long standing at Elm Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Spinks of Emory; daughter, Carla Thompson of Emory; and 2 sons, Jimmy Spinks of Emory, and Chuck Spinks of Houston. Grandchildren: Marissa Meredith, Blake Spinks, Colton Spinks, RustieAnne Spinks, Lindsay Stofle, and Carrie Busby. Great-grandchildren; Blair Spinks, Braxton Spinks, Cameron Meredith, and Cash Stofle.

Preceded in death by: Parents, 1 son, Nelson Spinks in 1995; 3 sisters, Martha, Ouida, and Mary Jane.

Serving as pallbearers, Eric Hurley, Al Phillips, Gary Michael Bishop, Chris Mynatt, Kelly Barrett, and Greg Potts.

Honorary pallbearers, Blake Spinks, Johnny Wheat, and Jim (Eddie) Simpson.
