Funeral services for F.M. Long, 72, of Sulphur Springs, will be 2:00 pm Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Murray Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, with Robert Brinkman, David Long, Michael Harris, James Halford, Rick Chasse, and Sam Long serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Long and Pete Long.
F.M. Long passed away Wednesday evening, May 2, 2012, at his residence. He was born in Haskell June 19, 1939, the son of Francis Marion Long and Dora Mae (Jones) Long. He married Ethelene Tarver in Odessa on May 13, 1962. She preceded him in death in 2006.
He was a retired drilling consultant for Saudi Aramco and a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: daughter, Grace Brinkman and husband, Robert, of Minden, Louisiana; son, David Long of Sulphur Springs; three sisters, Ruby Grover of Orange City, Florida, Juanita Roan of San Antonio, and Clara Tucker of Corpus Christi; three brothers, Samuel Long of Throckmorton, Larry Dean Long of Woodson, and Pete Long of New Mexico; grandchildren, Heather Brinkman, Daniella Brinkman, Brittney Halford and husband James and great-grandchild, Pistol Joe Thomas.
He was precededd in death by several brothers and sisters.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray Orwsosky Funeral Home.
