Melba Childers, age 82, of Emory died April 30, 2012. Service is 2:30 PM Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Jeff Thompson. Visitation is Thursday one hour prior to the service.
Melba was born on February 2, 1930 in Emory. She was the daughter of D.K. and Annie Davis Herriage. She married William Childers in Greenville, TX., July 12, 1947.
Melba was a very active member of Emory Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband William Childers; Daughter: Marianne Goode and husband Stephen of Edgewood, Grandchildren: Steven Fletcher; 2 brothers, 1 sister and numerous great-grandchildren.
