Dorothy Swain Mitchell, age 90, of Emory died April 30, 2012. Service is 10:00 AM Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Clarks' Chapel Church of God in Flats. Officiating will be Rev. Earl Ackins and Rev. Lance Crump. Interment at Greenview Cemetery in Greenville. Visitation is Wednesday, May 2 from 5-7 PM at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home.
She was born on September 17, 1921 in Flats. She was the daughter of Richard Haney and Jessie Cole Swain.
She is survived by Son: Alfred Mitchell and wife Sheila of Emory Daughters: Sharon Crump and husband Jim of Campbell, Sandra Thomas and husband Robert of Gilbert, AR Brothers: William O'Dean Swain of Las Vegas; and Richard Lee Swain of Longview. Grandchildren: Michelle Salmon, Wendy Thomas, Lance Crump, Teri Duncan, Scott Crump, Sonja Mitchell, Kenneth Mitchell, David Mitchell, Michelle Becker, Christie Cooper. Great-Grandchildren: Amber Daniels, Kristen Davis, Robert Davis, Andrew Davis, Sierra Grace Tiller, Riley Christian Pfieff, Lathan T. Crump, Landri Shay Crump, Terin Duncan, Cody Duncan, Thomas Mitchell, Timothy Mitchell, Jessie Marie Mitchell, Kade Cooper, Kaylin Cooper, and Brooklyn Becker. Plus two very speical friends and caregivers; Mary Davis and Frances Hixon.
