The Lady Cats’ basketball team opened the regular season on the road Tuesday night with a 49-30 win over Lindale. Wildcats Basketball Coach Clark Cipoletta expected eight football players to tryout for the basketball team Monday. Included are standouts from last year, Cain Cody and Jaylon Dugan. The Wildcats’ football team came up short in a bi-district game but they battled to the very end losing to Ennis, 52-47 in Lindale Friday night. Quarterback Larry Pryor scored five rushing touchdowns including three in a wild fourth quarter as the Wildcats cut into what was at one time an 18-point Ennis lead.
