The Hopkins County Dixie Ponytails opened their World Series in Louisiana with two wins and a loss in the double elimination tournament. Saturday the local Ponytails won 6-3 in extra innings over Tennessee. Sunday, the Ponytails lost to North Carolina, 10-3. They bounced back to defeat Florida 1-0 late Sunday.
