Wildcat Jazz Band Hits Its Stride, Tis Their Season

Tis the season for the Wildcats Jazz Band. They played at Lights of Life last Thursday, were in the Lions’ Club Christmas Parade Friday and entertained fifth graders at Douglas Monday. The future schedule includes City National Bank on Tuesday, Alliance Bank Wednesday and at High School and ECLC next Monday. The Wildcats Marching Band tuned up for UIL Competition this week with a solid showing at a Prairiland Contest Saturday. This year Wildcats Marching Band Director Charles McCauley decided to increase band practice two hours a day starting it at 2 p.m. instead of 4 p.m. McCauley said the extra two hours have been used to practice music. Wildcats Marching Band’s Percussion and Color Guard got a Four-Day Jump

The Wildcats Marching Band’s percussion and color guard got a four-day jump on the rest of the band as they opened a weeklong camp Monday morning. The entire band will get together Friday.
