Symphony Auction [3:01m]: Play Now | Play in Popup

Tom Stewart, President of the Sulphur Springs Symphony League is an avid bidder during the annual Symphony Auction on Tom StewartKSST radio and Channel 18. He compares walking through the TV station and checking out donated items to a child discovering gifts under the Christmas tree on Christmas morning. This year’s auction takes place beginning Saturday night at 7 p.m. Stewart says the auction is the Symphony League’s primary fundraiser to defray costs of the Independence Day Concert on the Square and the Children’s Concert in March. Stewart was a guest on KSST’s Good Morning Show with Enola Gay Friday morning.

Symphony Auction on KSST [3:17m]: Play Now | Play in Popup

If all goes as planned, the upcoming auction to benefit the Northeast Texas Symphony Orchestra will raise just about enough money to put on the annual children’s concert next March for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders throughout the county. The auction takes place Saturday beginning at 7 p.m. on KSST radio and Channel 18 on Suddenlink Cable. President of the Symphony League Tom Stewart indicates he hopes people support the auction to continue bringing good music to Hopkins County including the annual Independence Day Concert on the Square. Stewart says Sulphur Springs is the only town in Texas with less than 20,000 people with their own symphony orchestra.
