Friday Deadline For Stew Sites Approaching Quickly

Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce President Meredith Caddell is reminding all stew cooks from last year that this is the final week to renew their sites. Deadline is Friday at 5 p.m. Those not renewed by the deadline will be made available to anyone Monday morning at 8 a.m. Ms. Caddell says a lot of forms from last year’s cooks have not been turned in yet. At the last meeting of the Sulphur Springs City Council, the council voted to add $66,000 to the proposed budget to address some of consultant Roger Brooks’ branding ideas. City Manager Marc Maxwell says the funds will be used for wayfinding signs to direct people from the Interstate or from hotels to downtown.
