Some big changes appear to be coming to the State Highway 19 at I-30 intersection. TXDOT is proposing to restripe, put up signage and widen the intersection from one land in each direction to two. Traffic lights and yield signs will be eliminated. Sulphur Springs City Manager Marc Maxwell says the intersection will operate like a cloverleaf. TXDOT Area Engineer Tammy Simms explained the idea to the City Council and then they passed a resolution in support of the idea.
