Steve and Donna Smith, owners of Big Smith’s Barbeque, are celebrating their 25th business anniversary Wednesday. They actually went into business on September 1, 1989. Their first restaurant was just inside Hopkins County on Highway 154 in an old dairy barn built in 1920. Recently they moved to a site closer to town, still on Highway 154, but just 3 miles south of Wal-Mart. There will be a special ribbon cutting Wednesday.
