School Starts Tuesday, Drive Careful

Sulphur Springs Police Chief Jay Sanders reminded the driving public Friday that flashing school zone signs would be activated Tuesday, the first day of classes in town. He said police officers would be working them as usual during the school year. They’ll be looking for drivers going too fast or using cell phones. Chief Sanders also said fines are now hefty for failure to stop or for passing school buses with their flashing lights on. He said there was now a flashing school zone sign on League Street for Sulphur Springs Elementary.
