Brashear News 08/20/2014

I would like to start out by expressing my thanks to everyone who has donated clothes to our Clothes Sale. Brashear Baptist loaded my truck up and we so appreciate their contribution. We will officially stop collecting clothes Thursday to get everything ready for the Sale. Please do not forget to tell everyone who needs clothes—Saturday, August 23rd, First Methodist Church. Every item is priced to sell $0.25. Imagine clothes, shoes, backpacks, and much more. Hope to see you there. Whoops, time is 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

I am in a thankful zone. I have to thank Precinct 1 for fixing our road CR 1119. Those of you who travel it very much will know what I am talking about. Right in front of our house there were two major jarring bumps. They are gone now. Thank you for smoothing out the road.

Tom and I are starting another session of our Divorce Care. It will be on September 7th at 4:00 pm at First Methodist Church. These sessions are designed to help anyone who needs support during this tough time. More information will be coming soon.

I am so thankful for such a wonderful community that we live in. Last Sunday, several churches participated in Praying for our local Schools. There were lists for each school and people were welcome to walk around the outside of the school to pray for everyone with this new school year.

I am going to step out there and say I think the grasshoppers are on the decline. I hope I have not just jinxed things. There just seems to be fewer lining the fences in the morning. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

This Tuesday evening I am sitting here exhausted thanks to Tonya Norris. You worked us girl. Thanks. So on that note, I close my article asking for more news. Remember to call me at 903.612.8806; email me at [email protected]; or drop by CR 1119, the road that does not have the big bumps in the middle of the road.
