The Lady Cats’ volleyball team won two games and lost three in a tournament in Van Friday and Saturday. The Lady Cats won their pool Friday despite an opening loss to Quitman. The Lady Cats rallied to defeat Athens and Big Sandy. That put them in the championship bracket Saturday. The Lady Cats lost to Tyler All Saints and to Arp. The close loss to Arp was the third heartbreaker of the year for the Lady Cats according to Volleyball Coach Allison Irvin. The Lady Cats are 2-5 for the season. The Lady Cats have their home opener Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. as they host North Lamar, a team that defeated the Lady Cats, 3-0 last week.
