A lease agreement concerning the Civic Center Auditorium could be struck Monday as both the Sulphur Springs School Board and the Hopkins County Commissioners Court have the item on agendas. The Court will take up the item at a 4 p.m. meeting and then will attend a 7 p.m. School Board meeting where the matter will be discussed. They have talked about the school district spending $2.5-million to renovate the facility in exchange for a 25-year lease.
At the earlier meeting, the Commissioners Court will also consider approving a contract with Sedalco of Fort Worth to be the Construction Manager-At-Risk for the new County Jail Project. The Court will also have its first budget work session on Tuesday at 9 a.m.
