Funeral service for Ruth Darlene McDaniel, 89, of Cumby, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 10, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home with Rev. C.J. Duffey officiating. Interment will follow at Cumby Cemetery with Jim Gater, Kevin Greene, Darnell Woods, and Dale Richter serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, August 9, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home.
Mrs. McDaniel passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at her residence. She was born on September 19, 1924 in Adel, Iowa, the daughter of Bert and Lela Anna Thompson Theurer. She was a homemaker and of the Assembly of God faith. She is survived by sons, Larry Barnhart of Prineville, OR, Clinton Barnhart of Boise, ID, Mark Barnhart of Falls City, OR, daughter, Betty Moseley of Cumby, TX, grandchildren, Jim Gater, Gina Greene, Mark Daniel Barnhart, Richard Barnhart, Robert Barnhart, Ryan Barnhart, Sherry Barnhart, Shellen Barnhart, sixteen great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Audrey Theurer, and nieces, LaVerne Bennett and Kathleen Zehner. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Delbert Barnhart of twenty three and a half years, Vernol McDaniel of thirty years, brother, Verle Theurer, and sisters, Vernice Jimmerson, Stella Theurer, and Luene Kistler.
