The nemesis of every driver the dreaded pothole is a summer priority for the City of Sulphur Springs. In response to calls from citizens, City Manager Marc Maxwell says city crews are at work on the several potholes on Rosemond Street in front of the Hopkins County Sheriff’s office and jail. City crews will improve drainage and removing some asphalt before filling the hole. Maxwell is disappointed in the number of calls that have been received from city residents. He said the repairs will be made according to priority set by the number of calls. He encourages citizens to call the city at 903-885-7541. Other street projects have been pushed back to late August or early September.
