CanHelp Ends its 4th Pack the Bus Drive

CANHelp at 613 Gilmer Street in Sulphur Springs had its’ fourth Pack the Bus school supplies collection Friday. The supplies will be going to all elementary schools in the county. A bright yellow Sulphur Springs ISD bus was being filled Friday on the CANHelp parking lot. Eligible families will be able to pick up backpacks at CANHelp beginning Monday. Chris Voorheese Heads United Way Fund Drive

Chris Voorheese had decided to be the drive chairman for a second straight year for the Hopkins County United Way Campaign this year. For a second straight year, Voorheese has increased the goal from the previous year. This year’s goal is $160,000. More than the $155,000 goal was raised last year.
