Wood County Sheriff’s Report for May 15, 2019 – May 21, 2019

May 15th

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 3525 near Hawkins; at approximately 3:37 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2121 near Quitman, at approximately 7:53 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to PR 6536 near Mineola, at approximately 9:09 a.m., in reference to an animal complaint. Deputies located the neglected animals, but were unable to locate the owners. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 10:15 a.m., in reference to a scam on FM 778 near Mineola. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
At 12:38 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 2380 near Mineola.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Quitman, at approximately 2:09 p.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s storage building. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2774 near Mineola, at approximately 2:16 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on FM 514 near Yantis; at approximately 6:06 p.m. Julie Knight, 44, of Quitman, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3540 near Hawkins, at approximately 6:12 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Deputies spoke with the individuals and determined this to be a civil matter.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2820 near Mineola, at approximately 9:52 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies located the individuals and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2330 near Mineola, at approximately 10:06 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Fernando Lagunas, 25, of Mineola, was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

May 16th

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on FM 778 near Quitman; at approximately 12:12 a.m. Jerry Frazier, 43, of Quitman, was arrested for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Conviction/Suspension/without Financial Responsibility and an outstanding warrant.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1912 near Yantis, at approximately 3:24 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Mineola, at approximately 7:22 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 1799 near Mineola, at approximately 7:35 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2260 near Mineola, at approximately 11:57 a.m., in reference to shots fired. Coleman Sistrunk, 23, of Quitman, was arrested for Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1785 near Yantis, at approximately 12:19 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1813 near Yantis, at approximately 2:41 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1995 near Yantis, at approximately 2:42 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies spoke with the homeowner and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Yantis, at approximately 3:00 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 4990 near Winnsboro; at approximately 3:26 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
Deputies were dispatched to PR 6645 near Mineola, at approximately 3:37 p.m., in reference to a theft. A known actor stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to HWY 37 near Mineola; at approximately 8:09 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2263 near Mineola, at approximately 9:07 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the night.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 9:09 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass on CR 1560 near Alba. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

May 17th

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on FM 312 near Winnsboro; at approximately 3:11 a.m. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3130 near Quitman, at approximately 3:24 a.m., in reference to a burglary. Deputies determined the building was abandoned and no burglary had occurred.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 17 near Yantis, at approximately 7:12 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 11:06 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 11:17 a.m., in reference to harassment on Main St. in Yantis. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1676 near Alba, at approximately 2:00 p.m., in reference to theft. A known actor stole the reporting party’s phone. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to PR 5986 near Yantis, at approximately 6:26 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to Kiowa near Quitman, at approximately 7:35 p.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 69 near Alba, at approximately 10:29 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties left the scene, prior to the deputies’ arrival.
Deputies were dispatched to Lake Holbrook point, at approximately 10:52 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

May 18th

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 1:25 a.m., in reference to a criminal trespass. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2164 near Quitman, at approximately 1:54 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and forwarded this case to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1558 near Alba, at approximately 2:39 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1912 near Yantis, at approximately 5:04 a.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2360 near Mineola, at approximately 8:06 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2724 near Mineola, at approximately 10:24 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Mineola, at approximately 12:44 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
Deputies were dispatched to PR 6338 near Mineola, at approximately 3:24 p.m., in reference to deadly conduct. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2930 near Alba, at approximately 5:30 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1977 near Yantis, at approximately 8:52 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2768 near Mineola, at approximately 8:54 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the night.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2840 near Mineola, at approximately 10:00 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Kane Phelps, 23, of Alba, was arrested for Criminal Mischief and Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Violence.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3810 near Hawkins, at approximately 11:51 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

May 19th

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2330 near Mineola, at approximately 7:14 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
At 9:48 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Yantis.
Deputies were dispatched to Sundance Path near Hawkins, at approximately 1:11 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 3:15 p.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to Fm 17 near Alba, at approximately 5:00 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Tony Williams, 62, of Alba, was arrested for Public Intoxication.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 7:51 p.m., in reference to a dispute on Cheyenne near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 4660 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:38 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Wesley Bingham, 52, of Winnsboro, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Assault.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Quitman, at approximately 9:17 p.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3859 near Mineola, at approximately 11:39 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

May 20th

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2268 near Mineola, at approximately 1:57 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1676 near Alba, at approximately 3:14 a.m., in reference to a burglary. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any signs of burglary and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to Harris St. in Hawkins, at approximately 3:36 a.m., in reference to an alarm Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
At 8:07 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Yantis.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 9:18 a.m., in reference to a scam on Cottonwood Cove near Hawkins. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
At 9:24 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Yantis.
At 9:29 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 2966 near Yantis.
At 10:26 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 4660 near Winnsboro.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 12:29 p.m., in reference to harassment on CR 3253 near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:34 p.m., in reference to a scam on CR 3155 near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Quitman, at approximately 3:30 p.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to FM 514 near Yantis; at approximately 9:58 p.m. Ricky Scott, 44, of Point, was arrested for an outstanding warrant. Samuel Threadgill, 39, of Yantis, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle at Lake Holbrook point; at approximately 10:36 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 10:44 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 1336 near Quitman; at approximately 11:10 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

May 21st

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on FM 17 near Alba; at approximately 3:38 a.m. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
Deputies responded to a suspicious person on Woodbine near Hawkins; at approximately 7:31 a.m. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 1801 near Mineola, at approximately 10:15 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 11:35 a.m., in reference to scam on FM 2966 near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
At 3:53 p.m., horses were reported out on FM 14 near Quitman.
Deputies were dispatched to PR 5883 near Yantis, at approximately 5:00 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 2260 near Mineola; at approximately 8:03 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2774 near Mineola, at approximately 9:01 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties left the scene, prior to the deputies’ arrival.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 1970 near Yantis; at approximately 10:12 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
Between the dates of May 15 and May 21, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included the following: Hawkins Fire Department, Emergency Medical Services and Hawkins Police Department.
Between the dates of May 15 and May 21, Wood County Sheriff’s Investigators obtained 4 arrest warrants and arrested the individuals and filed 4 cases with the District Attorney.
Total Jail Count – 115 inmates – 92 males and 23 females.
