Wildcats Baseball Game Postponed Due To Weather

Wildcats Playoff Game Friday is Postponed and is Rescheduled for Saturday

There will no Wildcats’ baseball on this Friday (May 3). Wildcats Baseball Coach Jerrod Hammack sent out a text at 12:20 p.m. Friday saying that the scheduled bi-district playoff game against Hallsville had been postponed. It is now scheduled to be played at Mike Carter Field in Tyler at 11 a.m. Saturday. Game three, if necessary, will take place after game two. The Wildcats can wrap up the best two out of three series against the Bobcats with an early Saturday win. The Wildcats came from behind to win Wednesday and take a one game to none lead in the series. They trailed 2-0 after five innings Wednesday but then got three straight clutch singles that drove in a run each to go ahead to stay 3-2. Pitcher Will Sims then shut out Hallsville the rest of the way to nail down the win. The Wildcats come in Saturday with a season record of 16-10 and they have won six straight games. Hallsville’s season record is 19-5. KSST Radio plans to be at Mike Carter Field Saturday. We will also be streaming live video. The game, or games, will also be videotaped Saturday for replay later on Channel 18 on Suddenlink Cable
