WHAT: “Early Settlement of Caribbean Area and Southern U.S.“ PRESENTER: Don Easterling

Don Easterling was born and raised in Franklin County. He graduated from Talco High School and East Texas State University. A former teacher, he is now retired and lives on the family farm in north Franklin Co. He is a fourth generation Texan. Mr. Easterling is a member of and volunteer for the Franklin County Genealogical Society and a member of the Hopkins County Genealogical Society. He has written several research books for the Franklin Co. Gen. Soc. His presentation will include discussing the conditions leading up to the discovery and settlement of the Caribbean islands and southern United States and ramifications created.
