March 13

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on County Road 2482 near Mineola; at approximately 12:55 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3118 near Quitman, at approximately 2:10 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the day and incident was cleared.
Deputies were dispatched to Highway 154 near Yantis, at approximately 3:21 a.m., in reference to a fire. Deputies located the fire and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Winnsboro, at approximately 3:40 a.m., in reference to an inquest. A male, 60, was found deceased in his residence. The justice of the peace arrived and no autopsy was ordered.
Deputies were dispatched to Larshwood Path near Hawkins, at approximately 9:14 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3541 near Hawkins, at approximately 10:58 a.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, stole wood panels from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 11:04 a.m., in reference to harassment on Main Street in Yantis. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

At 11:14 a.m., cows were reported out on County Road 1610 near Alba.
Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3909 near Hawkins, at approximately 12:44 p.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 2225 near Quitman, at approximately 2:28 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies issued a criminal trespass warning and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to Sonora Lane near Hawkins, at approximately 5:05 p.m., in reference to an inquest. A male, 75, was found deceased in his residence. The justice of the peace arrived and no autopsy was ordered.
At 6:20 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2225 near Quitman.
At 8:05 p.m., cows were reported out on County Road 2351 near Mineola.
Deputies were dispatched to Highway 80 near Mineola, at approximately 8:24 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
Deputies responded to a suspicious person on Private Road 6643 near Mineola; at approximately 9:04 p.m. Deputies located the individual and provided a courtesy transport.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on FM 49 near Mineola; at approximately 11:40 p.m. Deputies located and transported the individual to the hospital.

March 14

At 2:08 a.m., cows were reported out on Highway 37 near Quitman.
Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3170 near Quitman, at approximately 2:23 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 3:20 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
At 6:14 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 14 near Quitman.
At 12:29 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 14 near Quitman.
Deputies were dispatched to Holly Lake Ranch Section 3 gate, at approximately 1:43 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Actors, or actors unknown, damaged the gate on Holly Lake Ranch property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
At 3:41 p.m., cows were reported out on County Road 3750 near Hawkins.
At 4:04 p.m., cows were reported out on County Road 3950 near Hawkins.
Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2165 near Quitman, at approximately 6:46 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies advised the reporting party that extra patrol would be provided.
Deputies responded to a suspicious person on FM 2966 near Yantis; at approximately 6:52 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1758 near Yantis, at approximately 7:09 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 7:16 p.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies made contact with the owner of the vehicle and everything was OK.
Deputies responded to a suspicious person on County Road 2267 near Mineola; at approximately 7:32 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on Main Street in Yantis; at approximately 8:22 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to Little River Bend near Quitman, at approximately 8:44 p.m., in reference to a fire. Deputies located the fire and everything was OK.

March 15
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on Private Road 6665 near Mineola; at approximately 1:04 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
At 2:48 a.m., cows were reported out on Highway 37 near Quitman.
Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2373 near Alba, at approximately 6:39 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
At 8:41 a.m., cows were reported out on County Road 3954 near Hawkins.
Deputies were dispatched to County Road 4200 near Winnsboro, at approximately 9:41 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 515 near Yantis, at approximately 10:11 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to Sells Street in Yantis, at approximately 11:18 a.m., in reference to a burglary. Actor, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
At 11:31 a.m., cows were reported out on County Road 3279 near Quitman.
At 1:46 p.m., cows were reported out on County Road 2270 near Mineola.
Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1758 near Yantis, at approximately 2:11 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies were dispatched to County Road 4539 near Winnsboro, at approximately 6:29 p.m., in reference to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Deputies determined this incident to be a civil issue and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to Private Road 7816 near Hawkins, at approximately 6:39 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies issued a criminal trespass warning and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 17 near Alba, at approximately 8:23 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
At 9:31 p.m., horses were reported out on FM 1804 near Mineola.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 154 near Quitman; at approximately 10:23 p.m. Michael Harrera, 38, of Paris, was arrested for resist arrest search or transport.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 779 near Mineola, at approximately 11:10 p.m., in reference to a burglary. A known actor broke into the reporting party’s residence. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

March 16
Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1853 near Yantis, at approximately 4:44 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies made contact with individuals and cleared the incident.
At 5:01 a.m., cows were reported out on Highway 37 near Quitman.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 2966 near Yantis, at approximately 7:40 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2132 near Quitman, at approximately 12:46 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to Highway 80 near Mineola, at approximately 2 p.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, stole an air compressor from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 69 near Mineola, at approximately 3:03 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

At 3:29 p.m., cows were reported out on Highway 154 near Yantis.
At 4:43 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 17 Alba.
At 5:17 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2869 near Hawkins.
Deputies were dispatched to County Road 4860 near Winnsboro, at approximately 6:06 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.
Deputies were dispatched to Private Road 6645 near Mineola, at approximately 6:09 p.m., in reference to a dispute. The individuals left the scene, prior to the deputies’ arrival.
Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2132 near Quitman, at approximately 6:43 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies issued a criminal trespass warning and cleared the incident.
At 7:29 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2225 near Quitman.
Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Lloyd Street in Yantis; at approximately 8:02 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.
Deputies responded to a suspicious person on County Road 3909 near Hawkins; at approximately 8:58 p.m. Travis Marsh, 23, of Big Sandy, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

March 17
At 1:52 a.m., cows were reported out on Highway 37 near Winnsboro.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle at Lake Holbrook point; at approximately 3:08 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
At 8:53 a.m., cows were reported out on County Road 1730 near Yantis.
At 10:08 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 69 near Mineola.
Deputies were dispatched to County Road 1948 near Yantis, at approximately 12:04 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies located the activity and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 1801 near Mineola, at approximately 12:27 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and issued a criminal trespass Warning.
At 12:44 p.m., cows were reported out on County Road 3220 near Quitman.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 12:48 p.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s residence. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to County Road 4137 near Winnsboro, at approximately 3:25 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies located the individuals with the firearms and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2150 near Quitman, at approximately 5:33 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
At 6:49 p.m., cows were reported out on County Road 1906 near Yantis.
At 7:41 p.m., cows were reported out on County Road 3950 near Quitman.
Deputies responded to a suspicious person on County Road 1562 near Alba at approximately 8:04 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
At 11:54 p.m., cows were reported out on Highway 37 near Quitman.

March 18
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on County Road 2840 near Mineola; at approximately 12:27 a.m. The known actor fled the scene by foot; Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the actor. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
At 9:18 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 2225 near Quitman.
Deputies were dispatched to Holly Hill Circle near Hawkins, at approximately 9:33 a.m., in reference to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Actors, or actors unknown, took the reporting party’s vehicle without authorization. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 2088 near Quitman, at approximately 10:01 a.m., in reference to an inquest. A male, 73, was found deceased in his residence. The justice of the peace arrived and ordered an autopsy.
Deputies were dispatched to Highway 80 near Hawkins, at approximately 10:41 a.m., in reference to theft. A known actor stole the reporting party’s prescription glasses. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on County Road 2434 near Mineola, at approximately 11:28 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated, prior to the deputies’ arrival.
At 2:41 p.m., cows were reported out on County Road 1350 near Quitman.
Deputies were dispatched to County Road 4990 near Winnsboro, at approximately 5:43 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

At 9:54 p.m., cows were reported out on Highway 37 near Winnsboro.
At 10:21 p.m., horses were reported out on FM 1804 near Mineola.
Deputies were dispatched to Arapaho near Quitman, at approximately 11:57 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

March 19
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 1:35 a.m., in reference to harassment on County Road 2165 near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
At 9:57 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 779 near Alba.
Deputies were dispatched to Private Road 7533 near Hawkins, at approximately 11:47 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to County Road 3235 near Quitman, at approximately 1:42 p.m., in reference to theft. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 4:44 p.m., in reference to harassment on FM 69 near Como. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Between the dates of March 13 and March 19, Wood County sheriff’s deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included the following: Quitman Police Department, Mineola Police Department, Upshur County Electric Company, Hot Springs, AR Police Department and Emergency Medical Services.
Between the dates of March 13 and March 19, Wood County sheriff’s investigators obtained three arrest warrants and arrested the individuals and filed three cases with the district attorney.

Total jail Count – 112 inmates – 84 males and 28 females.
