He said the Lady Cats struggled some on offense. Coach Carrillo said Greenville pitcher Katie Shaw always pitches well at Lady Cat Park. He said the Lady Cats can hit the ball harder than they did Thursday. Coach Carrillo said despite the struggles, the Lady Cats got the job done. They had 4 runs and 8 hits. Brinklee Drive hit a home run. Coach Carrillo said he was proud of Driver because she wasn’t feeling well. He said he offered to put someone else in for her but she said she wanted to play. She ended up with two hits. The Lady Cats got two big insurance runs in the fifth inning. Coach Carrillo that made him breathe easier. He said at 2-0 anything can happened adding he felt more comfortable at 4-0, especially with the way Caddell was pitching. Obviously he likes the 2-0 start for the Lady Cats.
