Sulphur Springs Cancels Classes Thursday As Wildcat Basketball Starts State Tournament

Athletic Director Greg Owens, in an email to KSST News, lined out the schedule for the upcoming week as the Boy’s Basketball prepares to head to San Antonio to take on the Wagner Thunderbirds in the State Semi-Finals. All classes will be cancelled for SSISD on Thursday to give everyone an opportunity to travel to San Antonio and cheer on the Wildcats. Tickets for that game will be pre-sold for students on Tuesday and Wednesday at the SS High School office, and non-student tickets can be purchased at the Administration Building on Connally street on the same days. All seats are preassigned, meaning there is not open seating. The Wildcats will travel to San Antonio on Wednesday and get a chance to visit the Alamodome and practice before the big game on Thursday evening. The winner of the Wildcat vs Thunderbirds game will face the winner of the other game between Mansfield and Manor. The 5A state finals game will be played on Saturday at 3pm.
