Both the Wildcats and Lady Cats’ soccer teams have one more non-district contest before district play begins next Tuesday against Greenville. The Wildcats and Lady Cats both play Melissa in a doubleheader at Gerald Prim Stadium on this game day Friday (February 8). The Lady Cats play at 5:30 p.m. The Wildcats game will follow at around 7 p.m.
The Lady Cats are 1-9-3 for the season but they are hoping to build upon their Tuesday night 1-0 win at The Prim against Nevada Community.
The Wildcats have been playing better lately and they are 4-5-2 for the season. In their last three matches, the Wildcats defeated Pittsburg and Pleasant Grove and tied a strong Lovejoy team 1-1 last Friday at Lucas. Wildcats Coach Alexi Upton wants his team to get over the .500 mark with a win against Melissa Friday night at The Prim.
