The Lady Cats’ soccer team broke into the win column with a hard fought, 1-0 non-district win over Nevada Community Tuesday night (February 5) at Gerald Prim Stadium.
Haley Robinson scored the big goal for the Lady Cats at the 26:15 mark of the second half. A shot on goal by the Lady Cats produced a rebound that Robinson was able to get just enough of a kick on for the ball to trickle into the goal. The two teams had battled to a scoreless tie after a defensive minded first half.
The Lady Cats improve to 1-9-3 for the season. They play Melissa Friday night at 5:30 p.m. at Prim Stadium as a part of a Lady Cats and Wildcats doubleheader. The Wildcats play Melissa at 7 p.m. Friday.
