Once again it’s the Lady Cats Varsity and Wildcats Varsity back to back in the Main Gym at Sulphur Springs High School on this Friday (January 18) game day. Texas High comes to town for games that will have a big impact on the district standings.
The Lady Cats JV gets things going in the Main Gym against the Lady Tigers JV at 5 p.m. The Lady Cats Varsity plays T High at 6:15 pm.
The Wildcats Varsity tangles with the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. The Wildcats JV and Freshmen Teams face Texas High in the Auxiliary Gym beginning at 5 p.m.
The Lady Cats Varsity comes in with a season record of 21-4. They are 3-1 in district play with three district wins in a row since they opened district with a loss at Royse City. The Lady Tigers are a perfect 4-0 in district play and they are 19-6 for the season. The Lady Cats and Lady Tigers were co-district champs last year.
The Wildcats Varsity Basketball Team is ranked #5 in Class 5A according to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Poll. The Wildcats are 2-0 in district play and 16-8 overall. Texas High is also 2-0 in district play and their season mark is 21-6. The two teams split last season with each team winning on their home court.
KSST Radio will bring you all of the action of the Lady Cats and Lady Tigers and the Wildcats and Tigers beginning at around 6:15 p.m. The games will also have video streaming live with a link available on the KSST Radio web site. The games will also be videotaped for replay later on Channel 18 on Suddenlink Cable.
