December 12th

At 8:25 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 778 near Hawkins.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4640 near Winnsboro, at approximately 9:29 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

At 11:22 a.m., horses were reported out on CR 3860 near Hawkins.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 11:25 a.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle on PR 7548 near Hawkins.Deputies determined it was a civil matter and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3860 near Hawkins, at approximately 1:32 p.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 1:48 p.m., in reference to theft that occurred on FM 515 near Winnsboro.Actors, or actors unknown, stole packages out of the reporting party’s mailbox.Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4200 near Winnsboro, at approximately 2:02 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies located the individuals and cleared the incident.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:22 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief that occurred on CR 4940 near Winnsboro. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4490 near Winnsboro, atapproximately 2:59 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and cleared the incident.

At 5:12 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2966 near Quitman.

At 6:07 p.m., horses were reported out on CR 4985 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 69 near Alba, at approximately 6:34 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 1468 nearYantis; at approximately 6:56 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:50 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Kristen Martin, 37, of Winnsboro, was arrested for Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Violence.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 6778 near Quitman, at approximately 10:24 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies advised the individuals to lower the volume of the music and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 1801 near Mineola, at approximately 11:27 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 3460 near Hawkins; at approximately 11:43 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

December 13th

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 1:50 a.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

At 7:51 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 778 near Hawkins.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 7:58 a.m., in reference to theft that occurred on CR 3440 near Hawkins. A known actor stole several items from the reporting party’s son’s residence.

Deputies were dispatched to City Circle in Yantis, at approximately 9:21 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies spoke with the owner of the building and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2360 near Mineola, at approximately 9:52 a.m., in reference to an assault. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 11:42 a.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s storage building. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3234 near Quitman, at approximately 12:26 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Deputies located the damaged fence, but were unable to locate the owner of the property.

At 12:34 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1900 near Yantis.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 1:37 p.m., in reference to terrorist threat on CR 1326 near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service on Bermuda St. in Quitman; at approximately 4:22 p.m. Kevin Standridge, 58, of Longview,was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 4:30 p.m., in reference to a scam that occurred on FM 1801 near Mineola.Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 4583 near Winnsboro; at approximately 5:58 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 312 0near Quitman; at approximately 7:20 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 3145 near Quitman; at approximately 7:34 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Post Oak St. in Winnsboro; at approximately 8:14 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

At 8:23 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1978 near Yantis.

December 14th

Deputies were dispatched to FM 182 near Quitman, at approximately 12:49 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 14 near Hawkins; at approximately 1:22 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

At 8:03 a.m., cows were reported out on HWY 37 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1953 near Yantis, at approximately 8:38 a.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and everything was OK.

At 10:06 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 2088 near Quitman.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 11:40 a.m., in reference to harassment on CR 2437 near Mineola. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3978 near Winnsboro, at approximately 12:25 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

At 12:41 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 4740 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4960 near Quitman, at approximately 1:28 p.m., in reference to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Actors, or actors unknown, took the reporting party’s vehicle without authorization. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

At 1:35 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1360 near Quitman.

At 1:44 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1983 near Yantis.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2954 near Alba, at approximately 4:27 p.m., in reference to theft. Actors, or actors unknown,stole the reporting party’s credit/debit card and used it without authorization. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Lloyd Ave.in Quitman; at approximately 4:35 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Kerry Circle in Quitman; at approximately 4:48 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2260 near Mineola, at approximately 8:16 p.m., in reference to an inquest. A female, 79, was found deceased in her residence. The Justice of the Peace arrived and ordered anautopsy.

At 8:57 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 4207 near Winnsboro.

December 15th

At 8:15 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 3265 near Mineola.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 10:35 a.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and cleared the incident.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Lloyd Ave.in Quitman; at approximately 12:04 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Kerry Circle in Quitman; at approximately 12:22 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Winnsboro, at approximately 2:11 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies spoke with the owner of the residence and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to Holly St. in Alba, at approximately 6:22 p.m., in reference to disorderly conduct. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 1660 near Alba; at approximately 6:43 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to HWY 37 near Mineola; at approximately 7:07 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Kerry Circle in Quitman; at approximately 7:22 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

At 7:25 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 37 near Quitman.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 3750 near Hawkins; at approximately 9:58 p.m. David Wright, 63, of Hawkins, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1912 near Yantis, at approximately 10:03 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individuals and everything was OK.

December 16th

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on HWY 37 near Mineola; at approximately 12:04 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to Goode St. in Quitman, at approximately 12:42 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3955 near Mineola, at approximately 1:24 a.m., in reference to an assault. This case is active.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3450 near Hawkins, at approximately 5:53 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies located the opendoor, cleared the residence and everything was OK.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 8:31 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver on CR 3947 near Hawkins. Deputies advised the reporting party that extra patrol would be provided.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 515 near Alba, at approximately 9:11 a.m., in reference to criminal trespass.  Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to Alba Golden School, at approximately 2:45 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies determined it was accident and cleared the scene.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 8000 near Hawkins, at approximately 3:09 p.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown,broke into the reporting party’s residence and stole several items. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 6429 near Mineola, at approximately 6:46 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

At 9:04 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Como.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on Lake Dr. inQuitman; at approximately 10:00 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Yantis, at approximately 10:09 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to Lane St. in Quitman, at approximately 10:58 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

December 17th

Deputies were dispatched to FM 69 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:28 a.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Deputies advised the reporting party that extra patrol would be provided.

At 9:08 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 3230 near Quitman.

At 10:30 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 1360 near Quitman.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 11:45 a.m., in reference to harassment on Village Circle in Alba. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 2906 near Mineola; at approximately 4:03 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2157 near Quitman, at approximately 4:43 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 5:35 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances on FM 852 near Winnsboro.Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 4583 near Winnsboro; at approximately 8:48 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on FM 2869 near Hawkins;at approximately 10:03 p.m. Jason Reeves, 46, of Hawkins, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

December 18th

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2225 near Yantis, at approximately 1:53 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies were dispatched to Greenbriar Trail near Hawkins,at approximately 9:25 a.m., in reference to an inquest. A male, 97, was found deceased in his residence. The Justice of the Peace arrived and no autopsy wasordered.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on Winnsboro St.in Quitman; at approximately 9:51 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 10:03 a.m., in reference to criminal trespass that occurred on CR 4287 near Winnsboro. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 5:28 p.m., in reference to theft that occurred on CR 1477 near Quitman. Actors,or actors unknown, stole a bronze plate from the reporting party’s father’s gravesite.

At 6:01 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 3230 near Quitman.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to GlaznerSt. in Hawkins; at approximately 9:15 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Quitman, at approximately 9:37 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 4890 near Quitman; at approximately 9:50 p.m. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Between the dates of December 12 and December 18, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included the following: Police Departments, Child Protective Services and Upshur County Sheriff’s Office.

Total Jail Count –108 inmates – 85 males and 23 females.
