The Wildcats’ continue play in the Championship Bracket of the 2018 Whataburger Tournament Friday (December 28) against Duncanville, ranked #22 in Class 6A. The teams play at 2 p.m. in the Birdville ISD W.G Thomas Coliseum in Haltom City. Duncanville defeated Justin Northwest, ranked #4 in Class 5A, Thursday night.
The Wildcats played in the second game of the tournament Thursday and defeated Katy Morton Ranch, 67-60. The Katy school is ranked #18 in Class 6A. The victory was the Wildcats fourth against a ranked Class 6A school in eight contests this season.
Against Morton Ranch, Keaston Willis scored 29 points. Sadaidriene Day Day Hall had 14 points. Cameron Kahn scored 13 points. Xavier Cork chipped in 5 points. Jeremiah Roland and Grayson McClure scored 3 points each. The Wildcats season record is now 13-6.
If they Wildcats win the 2 p.m. game Friday, they will play another game at 9:30 p.m. Friday. If they lose, the will play again Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
