The Saltillo Lady Lions went a perfect 4-0 in a Boles tournament to win the tourney championship. The Lady Lions won the title by defeating host Boles, 56-33 Saturday night (December 29).
The Lady Lions outscored Boles in every quarter leading 12-9 after one quarter, 30-19 at the half and 46-30 after three quarters. Maddy Smith led the Lady Lions with 18 points. Paisley Kastner added 10 points. Anna Reeder scored 9 points. Chandler Bain had 7 points. Jocelyn Ochoa scored 5 points. Kristina Wade had 3 points. Lorena Castro and Christy Marquez scored 2 points each. The Lady Lions were excellent from the foul line making 9 of 11 free throws.
The Lady Lions also topped Commerce, Big Sandy and Campbell during the Boles tournament. The Lady Lions are now 16-8 for the season. They play next at Avery on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
