New for 2019, an Advantage Healthcare plan through CHRISTUS Mother Frances Health Care Network! Matt Miles, Director of CHRISTUS Health Plan Sales joined us during the KSST Good Morning Show with Enola Gay to explain the new “Generations” product. This Advantage Plan for persons age 65 and older will increase it’s coverage area to thirteen Northeast Texas counties as of January 1, 2019, based on the CHRISTUS network of hospitals and doctors. Premiums for the plan range from 0$ to $20 monthly. Additionally, there is a CHRISTUS Individual Health Plan for persons younger than age 65 who live in the plan’s network area. The important annual Medicare Open Enrollment Period opens October 15 and ends December 7, 2018. If you are shopping for a Medicare plan or interested in comparing plans, you may wish to look into this new product by going to medicare.gov during Open Enrollment season. The Generations Health Plans comparison schedule should come up when you search your options based on the county where you live. That’s where seniors can examine the Generations Health Plan benefits online and compare all Medicare Advantage plans available to you during the Open Enrollment Period, October 15 through December 7, 2018. Seniors can also make a selection of a new plan to go into effect January 1, 2019. Or, if you have an existing health care plan that you are satisfied with, you can stay with it for 2019 by simply doing nothing. If you are under age 65, you can compare the CHRISTUS Individual Health Care plans anytime during 2018 and into 2019.
