Game Day: Lady Cats Host Lindale

The Lady Cats’ volleyball team is hoping the second half of the district play continues to mean a change in fortune for the team. After a 1-4 first half, the Lady Cats opened the second half of district play with a 3-2 home win over Royse City on Tuesday night (October 9) in Wildcat Gym.

The Lady Cats enter play Friday (October 12) against Lindale at home with a 2-4 district record. The Lady Cats are tied with Greenville for fourth place in district. The Lady Cats are 26-11 for the season. Lindale has a 5-1 district record and they are in second place. Lindale defeated the Lady Cats in Lindale, 3-1 back on September 25. Lady Cats Volleyball Coach Justin Maness says it’s nice playing at home Friday. He feels the pressure will be on the Lady Eagles as they come in Friday. Coach Maness says the Lady Cats actually played pretty well in Lindale but he adds things didn’t go our way. He says he hopes the Lady Cats come in Friday mentally prepared and ready to win. The Lady Cats varsity will play Lindale at 5 p.m. Friday in Wildcat Gym. The Lady Cats freshmen and JV teams will play the Lady Eagles at around 6:30 p.m. Friday.
