Local Veterans “Freedom Honor Flight” Needs You at Home Town Send-Off!

According to Lynda Hager, co-ordinator for local Veterans attending Freedom Honor Flights, the public is invited to attend a hometown Send-Off on Thursday September 20 at 11:30 in front of the Hopkins County Courthouse. A trio of local Vietnam Vets have been selected to travel to a grand reception in our nation’s capitol and a whirlwind tour of the monuments there. The veterans are Michael Barrett, John Ward and Bobby Swatsell. You can see the program schedule below, as well as a history of local honoree’s trips since 2009 in the Honor Flights System.
