Graveside services for George Earl Myers, age 81, of Point, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 1, 2018 at Emory City Cemetery with Bro. Doyle Hayes officiating. There will be no formal visitation. George passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab.
He was born on February 22, 1937 in Jackson County, Missouri, the son of Frank Joshua and Blanche Cecelia Robinson Myers. He married Carol Jane Thomas Myers on February 27, 1965 in Lee Summit, MO. She preceded him in death on September 14, 2013. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Point. He was a retired machinist from TI and Precision Air.
He is survived by son Don Myers and wife Shelly of Sulphur Springs, grandchildren, Tate and Kaitlyn Myers, and brother, Robert Myers and wife Jackie.
Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
