Como-Pickton FFA, Jr. FFA Students Win at 4-States Fair

From a report from Como-Pickton ISD Ag teacher Michael Bowen:

Several of the 200 students in FFA and Jr. FFA programs at Como-Pickton ISD showed livestock projects at the 4-States Fair in Texarkana, Arkansas last weekend, and brought home honors! Later in September, the Dairy Cattle team will head to the East Texas Livestock Show. Sudents showing Dairy Cattle will be Senior Miss Presley Cummings, Alex Holcomb, Miss Baylee Bowen, Landon Cummins and Freshman Miss Presley Cummins.

Here’s the 4-State Fair winners:                                                                             8th grade Chloe Jalufka – Reserve Champion Brahman
5th grade Jr FFA Claire Jalufka – 1st Place Brahman
Sophomore Canyon Thomas – 2nd Place Non American Commercial Heifer,      2nd Place American Commercial Heifer, 4th Place Steer, 5th Place Steer          with four cattle entries 
7th grade Jr FFA Miss Rayne Thomas – 7th Place Steer
Senior Blaine Flemens – 2nd Place Santa Gertrudis
Freshman Micah Flemens – 3rd Place Santa Gertrudis
