Two Local Back to School Events Planned For Saturday August 11

Here are two separate Back to School giving events scheduled in Sulphur Springs, Texas on Saturday August 11, 2018.

A Back to School Clothing Drive, sponsored by Hope Family Fellowship, is going on through August 6 for new and gently used clothing in boys and girls sizes for kindergarten through sixth grade. Donations of clothing are welcomed and are tax deductible. To make a donation of clothing, contact Wanda Reed at 903-348-2887 or take clothing donations to Good News Christian Bookstore inside the VF Outlet Mall.  If you would like to apply to receive clothing, pick up an application at Good News Christian Bookstore or phone 903-348-2887. Distribution day for qualifying families will be Saturday August 11 from 9 am til 1 pm , at Hope Family Fellowship Church, 434 Jefferson Street.

A Back to School Bash will be held at 411 College Street ( the former Houston School location) on Saturday August 11 from 11 am til 2 pm. There will be school supplies, hot dogs, snow cones and cold drinks for students in Hopkins County, on a first-come, first-served basis. No registration is required. The Back to School Bash is sponsored by CPI, Grocery Supply, Fidelity Express, Alliance Bank, City National Bank, One Church, Guaranty Bank and Trust, Herrerra Lawn and Tree Service, Poorchild Films and New Favour New Vision.
