CHESS is hosting a book fair this Friday, 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Central Baptist Church This book fair is composed of homeschool families setting up tables and selling their used homeschool materials. These materials range from entire used curriculum sets to single books used in homeschooling. The monies go to each individual family.
Homeschool book fairs such as these benefit everyone involved. Sellers make a little extra cash to put towards new curriculum or homeschool items as well as make room on their shelves at home. Buyers score big with deep discounts on books and/or materials that otherwise cost a great deal if bought new. Anyone wishing to purchase at the book fair is encouraged to bring small bills.
There will also be two vendors of new homeschool curriculum – Usborne books and BJU Press. Also, the CHESS co-op will be there with information on that part of CHESS, along with information from the Homeschool Legal Defense Association (HSLDA).
