Private memorial service for Louise Yates, age 64, of Sulphur Springs,TX will be held at a later date. Mrs. Yates passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Carriage House, Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Louise Marie Long Yates was born on December 23, 1953 in Dallas, Texas, to Sammie and Irene (Maske) Long. She married Gary Yates on December 12, 1970 in Dallas, Texas. Louise and Gary was owner of G&L Truck Service. Louise served as a Texas Dixie Softball District Director 1994-2009. She was very instrumental in the growth of Dixie Softball in the state of Texas and was a Hall of Fame Member.
She is survived by her son, Danny Yates and wife, Bonnie; daughters, Denise Stephenson and husband, Robert, Diane Lawson and husband, Daniel of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Amber Yates, Christopher Yates, Steven Daehn, Miranda Daehn, Dakota Stephenson, Logan Stephenson, Erica Lawson, Daniel Lawson, Jr; sister Nancy McKee of Roseburg, Oregon.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband Gary and her parents.
